S/V SHAMBHALA
Shambhala was built in 1977 in Santa Ana, California, by Downeast Yachts, as part of a successful run of Downeaster 38’s that were made between 1974 and 1981. When John purchased her in 2018, she had seen some serious neglect, but over the years John has worked to bring her back as close as he can to her former glory, getting to know all of her quirks, and falling deeply in love with her.

With a stunning teak and holly interior, comfortable beds and lounges, a competent galley, and a cozy wood burning stove, you will find yourself feeling very at home, very fast.
Unlike many other similar smaller-scale charter vessels, Shambhala is a fully Transport Canada certified passenger vessel, and John Is a fully certified commercial captain. you can come out with us knowing we take safety extremely seriously, and will make sure that you have a safe and relaxing voyage.
